Naruto 202 Moving-On Special.

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 29, 2006

Alright. Fillers for Naruto finally end. In episode 202 we get to see some of the greatest battles in Naruto history…or so they say. They picked out the “top 5″ battles chosen by the viewers (voters) and talked about it a little. There was also a special guest.

The battles went like this:

5th: Naruto Vs. Sasuke (Konoha Hospital Roof)

4th: Chouji Vs. Jirobou (Sasuke Chase Arc)

3rd: Kiba & Akamaru Vs. Sakon (Sasuke Chase Arc)

2nd: Neji Vs. Kidoumaru (Sasuke Chase Arc)
1st: Naruto Vs. Sasuke (Rival Final Battle)

Also Random Battles that made the list somehow.

Zabuza Vs. Kakashi (Water Country Arc)
Gai Vs. Kakashi (Rock-Paper-Scissors Arc)

Special Appearances?

Jiraiya was the special guest apparently, but then he’s like yeah I’m at some country’s hideout and look whose here with me *turns left* OROCHIMARU! and also you see Sasuke AND HE TALKS!. So yeah. It was a pretty good episode if you wanted to see some awesome battles. I personally liked the Neji battle and Naruto’s final battle.

Look forward to new episodes of Naruto starting on Thursday instead of Wednesday.

Utawarerumono EP 10 & 11

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 19, 2006

Alright I’m really behind in Utawarerumono as you can see. Along with Strawberry Panic and a lot of other stuff. Anyways heres the run down from not watching for a good 3-4 months.

Episode 10: When I first started watching episode 10 (left off at 9 before I stopped) I was really confused. Considering I don’t remember much of it. Anyways this episode talks pretty much about Kurura being “saved” by Hakuoro (just in-case there’s any romanji error on names…just skip them…because Utawarerumono has some pretty weird names that I’m not familiar with…especially the anime name itself) and yeah… Nothing much, but it was a pretty nifty episode I must say. Nothing really big except new comrade joining Hakuoro’s army.

Episode 11: This episode was pretty said, but also quite touching and surprising. So…the village that Eruruu and Aruruu use to live got totally owned by this random army…then Aruruu was put to sleep by medication (napkin knockout gas ownage) made by Eruruu, but then Hakuoro uses that on her when she’s about to snap and cry. I was like…what the fuck at that time. Anyways everyone at the village dies…then one of the soldier dies in front of him that went to spy on the area and Hakuoro was like, “FUCK IT! I’M GONNA OWN SOME BITCHES!” and went on to send the army out to attack. It wasn’t long before they got surrounded by the enemy. The enemy leader claims that Hakuoro is a traitor and step-brother or something. Then everyone is like…*GASP!* and all.

I still have episodes missing, but I’m regaining my interesting in this. Also for a side note Eruruu is so cute in episode 10. I felt sad for how inferior she was facing Marura and her smooth, soft and silky body. Hah oh well Eruruu definately won for the best female in Utawarerumono, so far…

Eiken

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 18, 2006

Alright, this Anime need not an explanation for only one word could describe it. This anime is pure ecchi. It is filled with sick adult humor which I’ll admit was pretty good for a few cheap laughs. The whole point…I haven’t really gotten any of the story. It seems pretty much like a love story, but I was too busy twitching at how un-proportional 99% of the girls were….Lets just leave it at that. I won’t even bother explaining it. Well there were a few that were proportional such as Yukino *spelling?* and I must say…I kinda liked her more than the other people…then again I probably just found it cool how forward she was….

Well…would I recommend this? Well if your into a EXTREMELY short ecchi-filled comedy romance then by all means go ahead. Its only 2 episodes so it won’t hurt to give a look at it…but seriously folks…its just…weird. Its comes barely below the line that seperates H-anime to just anime that will have an extremely H feel to it. Like Green Green Erolution.

Kujibiki Unbalance.

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 17, 2006

Alright. Since I was so interested in Genshiken, I decided to watch Kujibiki Unbalance *The anime within the anime*. I have to say…the 3 OVAs were definitely good for what they were, but lacked SO much that I didn’t really get the story.

So pretty much the whole series was like….WHAT THE FUCK?!?!, but it wasn’t all that bad. I will admit that I did enjoy the story and events for what they were, but I really wished it became a full-fledge anime. That is why we can look forward to the making of Kujibiki Unbalance TV series coming out in a few months or so *according to AniDB*. I also can’t wait for the second season of Genshiken so I can understand the full story.

They way Genshiken and Kujibiki Unbalance delivers the story is kind of odd and feels like its very broken, but the way they do it kept me entertained and coming back for more till the end. So in the end I must say this quick 3 episode OVA was a very good way to end Genshiken and give viewers a look at what Kujibiki Unbalance is like.

Genshiken.

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 17, 2006

Alright I finally finished Genshiken. Well…I don’t know what to make of it, but I guess I’ll break it down so I can give you guys a somewhat good of an idea of what its about.

Well…Really its about people being Otaku and the struggle of a girl who isn’t, but wants to go out with an Otaku…actually…truthfully I have no idea what the story was really about nor did I even get who the main character was.

I actually found it funny the Sasahara has the same seiyuu as Asou-kun from School Rumble *sounds like the same seiyuu anyways* and Kohsaka’s Sol-Badguy skills are extremely impressive. Ohno’s cosplay obsession is also pretty funny, although I did not really like her cute-ness that much. Other than that all the other characters were funny and weird at the same time.

The ending ended with Sasahara being the Chairman of Genshiken and he wanted to do a Male-Oriented doujinshi for Kajian *spelling?* which is actually a real anime *that is probably done by the same people* so yeah…just found it funny.

Other stuff to say…well I don’t know…the ending really lacked a LOT but it was still a good quick watch. Only 12 episodes. Man I really want to go out and buy some doujinshi or something in the likes. I wish I had wallscrollers. I wish I had amazing Guilty Gear skills. *sigh* Well it was a fun quick watch as I said so it’s not bad for what it is, but could be a little better. Kind of amazing how an idea like this could be made into an anime. Oh well

Genshiken. *First Impression*

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 16, 2006

Alright now since I was going crazy over the fact that I finally got my Fliptop/swapmagic combo on my PS2 to work I didn’t have enough time to get into Genshiken that much…also with the fact that I’m fixing a friend’s computer and thus my anime dosage has been kind of cut down to almost 3 episodes PER WEEK!

Anyways on with the actual posting. Genshiken…hmm A nice little anime that talks about well…otaku. Now how true it is to actual otaku I have no idea. I did realize a few things that were pretty true.

They explain that Otaku do have the 2-D complex, but does not mean they don’t like real women. The only reason why Otaku can’t get girls is because of their interest…but more importantly Otaku-ism… is looked down upon I guess.

The anime itself is pretty fun and seems pretty “realistic” to characters in real life. Then again…they make it seem like Otaku are ultra-perverts who like ero-games, doujinshi, and the likes…not saying I like those kinds of things even though I love anime products >.> *coughs*

Anyways I really like it so far since the characters seem “realistic” enough to connect to their craziness and it also has a pretty good humor to laugh at how Otaku are, but its probably not true. A lot of stereotypes are laid out, but also it clears up some stereotypes. Then again…who knows…some people’s 2-D complex is greater than their need for a real women.

REC Special.

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 10, 2006

I just watched the REC special after finish REC maybe half a year ago *maybe less* and I just remembered how beautiful and cute Aka was. Also the special had the ED which was never there in the original series. I wish REC was a little longer though now that I think back about it.

The special itself is kind of weird. It felt extremely incomplete and didn’t have much story. Also the episode preview in the special says the next episode is 9, but if looking back at AniDB and previous episodes its suppose to be 8. I guess they were supposedly going to have a total of 10 episodes? *shrugs* Oh well

Creativity…if possible.

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 9, 2006

I’ve been wondering. Since I really want to get this blog some more publicit or at least get it out to more people I was hoping on making some kind of web banner to represent that. Now my goal was well to make something cute *hence ‘kawaii’*, but I have no ideas on how to start or where to start for that matter. If anyone has any ideas on pictures or what not, please feel free. Also if you feel like contributing or making one for the fun of it that’d be cool too.

After a long trip…

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 6, 2006

Well if you didn’t know I went to Hong Kong for the summer. *sorry I don’t have pictures of the airport(s) I went to or scenery* Well the trip was like this…or the flight was like this anyways.

To Hong Kong:

Boston - Chicago

Chicago - Narita, Tokyo (Japan)

Narita - Hong Kong

Leaving Hong Kong:

Hong Kong - Narita

Narita - New York (JFK)

New York - Boston

Yeah. Anyways Japan was fun for the few hours I was there…Felt kind of weird hearing real Japanese spoken to you even though I watch anime and listen to Japanese music and all. If only I knew Japanese. Well I bought some stuff while I was there. Aside from clothing and a bracelet I got some well…”useful” things.

First thing I got was Dictionaries I think. I got two. One is a English-Chinese/Chinese-English dictionary because I’m currently taking Manderin to I guess help me out in the future. Another one is a English-Japanese/Japanese-English dictionary because I really want to learn Japanese if not know what people are somewhat saying.

Japanese and Chinese Dictionaries
While in HK I had intents to buy a PSP and a drawing tablet *even though my drawing skills are as bad as an average 5th grader* and I was able to get it for a lot cheaper than what it would cost here.

Well…thats about it. Nothing much to talk about the stuff anyways.

Well a few days ago I was walking around the mall with my friend in hopes of him selling his DS, but … failed because he didn’t have the charger cord. We decided that since there was nothing really to get we should head over to the bookstore to look at the manga section. He was looking for the Naruto manga while I was just scrolling the section.

I don’t usually read manga and I’m not a big fan of reading them, but I don’t mind them…I just rather watch anime because I like the action shown to me instead of on paper through 5 panels. Anyways what caught my attention was the School Rumble manga released in English. Now I was highly debating on if I should get it or not. In the end i decided to get the first two volumes *which were the only volumes they had*. I also wanted to get some other manga while I’m at it, but I didn’t want to go crazy on my compulsive buying *Kevin’s next compulsive buying topic….MANGA!*. Here are the covers for both volumes if you haven’t seen already.

P.S. I’m sorry for the pictures being all messed up. Please deal with the fact that I’m lazy to actually adjust it even though I’ll take no more than 10 minutes.

Not Enough Updating…I know

Posted by darkdragon500 on September 4, 2006

I’ve realized I don’t update this at all *not like anyone reads it anyway*. I know I get lazy when it comes to doing something and this blog doesn’t have enough publicity for others to read nor does this blog offer anything for people TO read about. I have a few post that are still unfinished because I just don’t have the time to get to it or I get lazy and just screw it over. I need to make the blog more appealing or atleast post more. *sigh* I don’t have much to say on the anime side, but I’ll say some stuff I guess.

NARUTO:

Alright the latest filler *yeah I’m skipping the other crap…* I found was…well…kind of stupid. If Konoha was filled with chakra thread and explosive tags and Neji and Hinata used Byakugan on various places of Konoha wouldn’t they have spotted atleast some of it. I don’t know I just thought it was kind of stupid that that happened. Also I don’t care what you people say, but I found the whole Naruto asking Hinata “out” was pretty funny. It might just be that my standards for Naruto has dropped so low that the Ramen episode was almost as good as the whole Uncovering Kakashi’s face episode.

Bleach: Now the bountou *I don’t know what other groups sub it as…Some say its bount or whatnot* arc is not bad…It lacks in areas…but its not amazingly bad. I’m waiting for the whole Byaguya battle. It looks pretty good, but who knows what might happen. Considering Ichigo got his ass kicked when he went Bankai against Karia. We’ll just have to wait and see.

As for other anime…I haven’t been watching anything since my hard drive has been suffering *250 gig is just NOT enough for an external plus a 55 gig master and 20 gig slave*. I might start watching Tsukihime just because I really liked Fate/Stay Night and I just want to see more of Type-Moon’s work. I might play Fate/Stay Night too because I want to know more of the story even though I don’t understand Japanese…I think I’ll still enjoy it regardless of the fact it’s an H-game.

I might also play Da Capo and Da Capo II because well…they look good. I think I’ll probably get more out of the game than the anime *of course…* so I might do that too and because DC II is different from the second season of Da Capo. I hope they make another Da Capo based off the second game.
