I have withstood many loli…

Posted by darkdragon500 on June 19, 2007

Alright I’m actually somewhat slowly getting back into the habit of updating (not like I ever had one to begin with…) SO! lets get this thing over with…Its late and I’m tired. Alright with that said I bring to you…CardCaptor Sakura…Again…AND! the finishing of Kyou no Go no Ni! (otherwise known as Today in Class 5-2).

CardCaptor Sakura: Alright today I will be doing my review of the 2nd and LAST! movie along with the video diary specials. Lets start with the specials. They aren’t anything special, just kind of cute to watch except for the 2nd special which actually dealt with the story. As for the movie…Well lets just say I thought it was a piece of shit on a stick, but it really isn’t. I felt that the movie was kind of good and yet bad at the same time. Here’s why…First the movie mainly concentrated on the whole Sakura X Li thing and didn’t get to any actual action till the last maybe 20-30 minutes of the movie. Secondly the ending was very disappointing. No I’m definitely glad that everything worked out between Li and Sakura, but I felt like there could be SOOO much more of an ending than just what was in the movie. I’d love to see more to CCS, but the series was long enough and it took me forever to finish (sigh) Guess my only hope is Tsubasa Chronicles now … Anyways the movie itself isn’t all that bad aside form the stuff I stated already. I really liked it and I just love Sakura’s character (yes I know I’m a guy and saying this…What? I can’t like Shoujo-type anime/manga?) not to mention the whole anime had great character design. Overall though I’m somewhat sad that its over (or was over a long time ago.) I just wished there was some way to just continue the story with a better ending…like Sakura and Li actually doing something…I guess its all up to doujin circles to create stuff (which of course are already out in markets or the internet…)

Today in Class 5-2: Okay I finished the last episode today (because it was released subbed today) and I really enjoyed the OVA. I mean it was short, funny and had fanservice (okay fine and loli … happy?). I really want to find the manga translated somewhere now or hope that there’s more later on in the future. I don’t have the characters stuck in my head yet, but I’ll probably rewatch it because it was so short and funny. I just loved the random fanservice of 5th graders (I SWEAR I AM NOT A FUCKIN’ PEDO!).

Sky Girls: This was not intended to be in the post originally, but while I’m writing this I decided…what the hell. So I actually got to watch the Sky Girls OVA!. Yes more loli action… a pedo is I…okay I get the point. Anywho the OVA was nice. I really liked the art and the characters were quite unique…I can’t remember their names either (forgive me okami-sama). I’m actually greatful that the OVA had action in it. I can’t wait till the TV series release of it. Looking forward to more loli-ness!

Alright that concludes my ramble of the day! I don’t know why, but I’ve been watching too many loli-type series. I mean there’s Hayate and I need to catch up on Nanoha StrikerS and also I’m planning to get the DVD files of Shakugan no Shana, Zero no Tsukaima, and Nanoha both A’s and original. Well until next time~

~Kevin~

P.S. I am seriously not a pedo! I swear this just happens! I mean…I can’t help it if its too moe and/or kawaii that I give in to the power that is the loli of anime … gomen …. kami-sama ….

Tsukuyomi ~Moon Phase~ & CardCaptor Sakura & 3rd Naruto Movie!

Posted by darkdragon500 on June 17, 2007

Alright everyone! I am here after going into withdrawal due to lack of anime because of my available hard drive space, but now I’m back! Well I was able to catch up on Naruto and Bleach, but I won’t get into those because they don’t deserve the space. Anyways I’ve finished up Tsukuyomi ~Moon Phase~ and CardCaptor Sakura as well as the 3rd Naruto movie. And here we go!

3rd Naruto Movie: First lets get started with the 3rd Naruto movie! We start this movie before the time-skip, but after everyone starts training. Movie is based around Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi and Lee. Following this kid named Hikaru and his father Manchiru. The movie itself was really bad and the only good parts were the second to last and last battles. The movie ended with a stereotypical Naruto ending…a variation of a Rasengan. The Rasengan like….turned purple like the moon and all…it was pretty lame. I really can’t talk about the movie that well just because I didn’t enjoy it regardless of how good everyone said it was. Some animation glitch in the ending during credits. We don’t see Naruto’s Kyuubi seal, so yeah. Also why Lee’s face was red in the last battle is confusing to me…and also Sakura and Naruto were as lame as they usually were. Oh well…we can hope for the better in the next movie.

CardCaptor Sakura: After 70 fuckin’ episodes I finally finished it. The series as a whole was really good, but what really annoyed me was how Clow Reed/Eriol is a sick twisted ass. We learn during the Sakura Card Arc that Eriol is Clow Reed’s incarnation and that he created events that would require Sakura to use a certain card and change that card into her own to use it. The series contained both yaoi and yuri as well as teacher-student relationships and loli. I don’t know why but Sakura’s character design is actually relevant to my liking…and no I am not lolicon…Anywho the series was damn long, but good none-the-less. Worth watching and especially if you like stuff from CLAMP.

Tsukuyomi ~Moon Phase~: All I can say is….Nekomimi….The series was pretty nice…Animation was weird at points and the ending seemed like it was just randomly shat out in a rush to finish the series. Hazuki-chan is definitely the moe character of the series with her tsundere personality. I’ve read the first two volumes of the manga and I’m hoping to get the rest of the series because the anime was pretty good. Not amazing, but definitely a fun watch. Hazuki-chan…..nekomimi mode….uhnya~

Well thats all I’ve been doing. I’ve watched the Shakugan no Shana movie and 2nd season trailer and I am fuckin’ pumped for the upcoming movie (that is set to be out this Thursday the 21st?) and also the 2nd season which will be released during the Fall Season. I can’t wait!!

Time to catch up on everything I’ve missed from last year’s Summer Season till now! Until next time~

CardCaptor Sakura The Movie (first half)

Posted by darkdragon500 on July 11, 2006

CardCaptor Sakura The Movie is a movie that takes place somewhere in-between the first and second arc of CardCaptor Sakura (I will start refering it to CCS starting now). This is the first film of CCS and it takes place during the winter vacation.

The movie begins with Sakura facing ARROW. Sakura of course manages to capture the card with the help of Li. Tomoyo of course is doing her filming and Meilin is complaining about how the card was suppose to be Li’s. With the capturing of ARROW, Sakura goes home and sleeps. She has a dream where she is standing ontop of water. These ribbon like things come out from under the water slowl, grabs her, and pulls her under water. She somehow can breathe under the water though and she hears a mans voice saying, ‘Mizu wa nagare yoko mono ne desu yo’ (Water is a thing that flows). Sakura then wakes up.

At school people were recieving their report cards. Nothing special. Everyone is acting like what every other person would act like when they are about to get report cards. Li is probably the most nervous of the four. Meilin acted high and mighty, but didn’t do well. Tomoyo like always did good, so no worries. Sakura was nervous, but was relieved to see she didn’t do as bad as she thought.

Afterschool Sakura and Tomoyo goes to the Twin Bells store to buy notebooks for their homework. They buy the notebook and find out that there is a drawing for prizes that is done at the Tomoeda shopping district. The first prize winner gets a trip to Hong Kong. Sakura goes to draw one and a ball emerges from the pile and jumps into Sakura’s hand. She pulls her hand out and shows the ball. It’s colored gold and the prize that matches the gold ball is none other than the special prize to Hong Kong for 5 days and 4 nights.

Skipping all the scenes at home and the airport, Sakura arrives at Hong Kong with Toya, Yukito, Tomoyo and of course Kero. There Sakura has another dream. The setting is still the same. She looks above and see two birds sitting on support beams above. Then a woman appears behind her. The woman extends her ribbon thingies at Sakura and Sakura goes to grab them, but she wakes up.

Well the next scene takes place at a resturant where their having Dim Sum. Apparently Yukito killed the meaning of Dim Sum. As in instead of ordering a few dishes he ordered like 5 over everything. This scene is more humorious of course and it really doesn’t add anything to the story. After the food they decide to go to ‘Bird Street’. From the name you could probably guess. Its a street full of birds. They explain how people in Hong Kong love birds and all. As connection to real life I can see that. (because I’ve been to Hong Kong)

At Bird Street they are looking at all the birds until Sakura feels a presence. She looks up and sees the two birds from her dreams. She goes and chases after them. She chase them to a well where she is then controlled to go inside the well, but Li was able to snap her out of it. She still fell in the water though. Back at Tomoyo’s end on Bird Street she has a little run in with Meilin. More like Meilin walking into Tomoyo, but whatever. Apparently Meilin was looking for Li. Not too long after she said that Li and Sakura appears walking towards them. Toya and Yukito shows up not too long after that. Well they decide to go to Li’s place to change. Li’s four sisters are all over Sakura and Tomoyo, but not for long for Toya and Yukito somehow grabbed their attention. Li’s mom also makes an appearence. Li’s mom apparently can scene the Clow Cards and warns Sakura that with great power comes great hardships especially in Hong Kong. She then insist that they stay the night.

That night Sakura has another dream. The woman is in front of her. Sakura grabs the ribbon only to then be pulled up. Sakura struggles to get free and then she awakes from her scream. Sakura looks at her arm and she has marks from where the ribbon was wrapped.

(to be continued later.)
