Magical Battle Arena. Guide and Review (C75 Revised)

Thanks to fly-system, the doujin game Magical Battle Arena was released at comiket this year. A quick run down of the game before I get into how you install and what you should need to know.

The game, as the title implies, concentrates on well… Magical Battles in an arena (lol….). But in all seriousness here. The game is a third person fly-and-shoot kind of game. Featuring characters from series such as Nanoha and Fate from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha or Sakura from Card Captor Sakura. Controls would feel similar to those who play third person mech piloting games like A.C.E. or Armored Core.

UPDATE: Due to the most recent comiket, a new expansion has been released. This guide will contain revisions to accommodate for the new expansion Lyrical Pack. The expansion adds 3 more playable characters, all of whom are from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. They are as followed: Yagami Hayate (pre-StrikerS), Vita, and Takamachi Nanoha (StrikerS). Aside from this, it also add new play modes, desktop wallpapers for beating mission modes, a few new stages, combo system changed/improved, and the likes.

Awaiting December

With the upcoming month, there are a few things I’m looking forward to. One being Fate/Unlimited Codes being released along with a few other games, the time to actually start working my ass off to make up for the procrastination I’ve done on college apps, new music possible, and the new Kara no Kyoukai movie along with various other shows. Really, these past few months have gone by way too fast for me. It feels like there really isn’t much time left get things done both things needed to be done and things wanting to be done.

My life and wallet does not exist starting as of now.

With the upcoming releases of new games, the excitement of going applying and hopefully getting into a university, the need to find a job and a reason to live has officially taken its toll. I’m doing my best (or at least I tell myself that) at trying to get read for college, but at the same time I’m taking a more laid back approach with all the new games releasing. Currently excited for the two games releasing tomorrow which are Fallout 3 and Red Alert 3, while also looking forward to Call of Duty: World at War and Left 4 Dead. Also looking forward to December when my friend will give me a tip on the package that I had him help me get, which contains two things. One being another game Fate/Unlimted Codes for the PS2. I couldn’t help myself and got the limited edition just because its Type-Moon and ever since Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night, I became a huge Type-Moon fan. Awaiting translations for Fate/Stay Night down at Mirrormoon is also driving me to waste my life away even more. Dead Space will be installed shortly in the next few days which will also take up a whole lot of time.

To sum this whole rant up, I am currently wasting my life on various things, thus causing me to be both busy and extremely free at the same time. Am I doing anything productive you ask? Well. . . no. Sadly, but true. Ah well. Also tons of new anime this season. So yeah.

Still, come on down to Otaku-Complex for (hopefully) more updates on me posting and stuff… yeah.

How not too spend your time.

So yeah. I haven’t really been updating all that much here. I’ve been writing summary posts on Toradora down at Otaku-Complex along with a few other posts here and there and recently I’ve found myself not posting all together. Reason being is… well actually there are a few reasons. One being that I’ve just been lazy. Two is me getting side-tracked. Three is again me being lazy. It’s mostly just me being lazy and doing something else. It’s not that I don’t have any material to post about, but at the same time my efforts in trying to get a post down has been completely wiped from me for the last week or two. Anyways, expect more posting down at Otaku-Complex by me as the month draws to an end.

There is no words to describe the tears I cried when I saw this. (I am using this as my main currently, so I’m quite excited to get further in the game to get this attack or at least upgrade the unit more. Currently at stage 3)

Super Robot Wars Z IS OUT! (Post of my excitement)

YES! That’s right everyone. The latest Strategy RPG favorite of mine is finally out. I have not yet had a chance to try it and I probably won’t be able to for awhile, but I shall do my best in order to do so by the end of the week.

Writing Job Offered

So yeah. Over the weekend I was offered to become a writer for Otaku-Complex. I don’t know exactly where this will take me, but I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the team (cause there’s more than one writer). As for what I’ll be doing with this… Who knows. I’ll try to keep this blog updated also, so I’ll be working two shifts. Not quite sure how I’ll split it up, or even how to begin considering I haven’t done anything with this blog in god knows how long.

Well I hope everyone who actually reads will also visit Otaku-Complex, though it’s still new, I have very high expectations for it in the future.
